Compensation: USD $1,500/month base salary + commission
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our commercial team. This role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with wholesale flower buyers in the United States and international markets, representing premium flower farms based in Ecuador.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to identify new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in Quito, Ecuador.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale flower buyers across the United States and international markets.
- Manage existing customer accounts and identify opportunities to increase sales volume.
- Prospect and acquire new wholesale customers.
- Present product offerings, pricing, and availability to clients.
- Coordinate with Ecuadorian flower farms to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Negotiate pricing, programs, and sales agreements with customers.
- Monitor market trends, customer demand, and competitor activity.
- Resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B sales.
- Experience managing customer accounts and developing long-term business relationships.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Must be based in Quito, Ecuador.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the floral industry, fresh-cut flowers, agriculture, produce, perishables, or wholesale distribution.
- Experience selling to wholesalers, importers, distributors, or mass-market customers.
- Knowledge of international trade and export processes.
- Existing network within the floral or produce industry.
