About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a growing company in the fresh cut flower industry. This fully remote position is based in Colombia and is ideal for a sales professional with strong experience managing wholesale floral accounts and developing long-term customer relationships in the North American market.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and driven to grow existing business while identifying new opportunities. You will work closely with wholesalers, floral distributors, retail florists, bouquet manufacturers, supermarkets, event companies, and other floral buyers to deliver exceptional service and drive revenue growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of wholesale floral accounts.
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting and relationship building.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers across the floral industry.
  • Recommend products and floral programs based on customer needs, seasonal demand, and market trends.
  • Coordinate order execution with operations, sourcing, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Create and promote standing orders, holiday programs, and seasonal promotions.
  • Monitor inventory availability and communicate product substitutions when necessary.
  • Negotiate pricing, programs, and commercial agreements with customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and account plans.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, pricing, availability, and competitive activity.
  • Represent the company during customer visits, trade shows, and industry events when required. (Pollen Talent)

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within the fresh cut flower industry.
  • Strong understanding of fresh cut flower varieties, sourcing, pricing, and wholesale distribution.
  • Experience selling to wholesalers, distributors, retail florists, supermarkets, event companies, or other floral buyers.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems; knowledge of Komet Sales is highly preferred.
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within the North American floral industry.
  • Experience with floral importers, growers, or distributors.
  • Knowledge of bouquet programs, seasonal floral planning, and market forecasting.
  • Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
