About the Opportunity

Pollen Talent, a specialized recruiting and talent-support company serving the global floral industry, is supporting a leading international fresh-cut rose grower and exporter in its search for an experienced Senior Account Executive based in Miami, Florida.

The selected candidate will join the hiring company’s commercial team and play a key role in managing and growing its U.S. sales business, with a particular focus on imported fresh-cut roses entering through Miami and serving customers throughout North America.

This opportunity is ideal for a senior sales professional with strong experience in fresh-cut flowers, floral sales, account management, wholesale sales, or international perishable products. The position combines strategic account management, business development, pricing and negotiation, customer relationship management, and market development.

The hiring company has extensive experience growing and exporting premium fresh-cut roses from Ecuador and serves the international floral market with a focus on quality, consistency, customer service, and long-term producer-client relationships. Its product portfolio includes standard roses, garden roses, spray roses, and specialty dyed and tinted roses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales across the U.S. market, with a primary focus on fresh-cut roses and floral customers throughout North America.

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers.

  • Identify and pursue new customer and business-development opportunities within the U.S. floral market.

  • Manage customer accounts, sales activity, pricing discussions, quotations, and negotiations.

  • Develop and execute account strategies designed to increase sales volume, revenue, and customer retention.

  • Monitor customer purchasing patterns, market conditions, seasonal demand, pricing activity, and competitive developments.

  • Identify opportunities to expand product placement and introduce additional floral products to existing and prospective customers.

  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, and operations teams to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding availability, pricing, orders, product specifications, and service requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, account information, and commercial activity reports.

  • Support the planning and execution of seasonal sales programs and customer-specific initiatives.

  • Represent the company at customer meetings, floral industry trade shows, open houses, and other relevant industry events.

  • Travel throughout the United States as needed to develop customer relationships and support commercial growth.

  • Contribute to overall sales objectives and the company’s long-term growth within the North American floral market.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or a related commercial position.

  • Proven experience managing customer accounts and developing long-term business relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to generate sales, develop new business, and achieve commercial objectives.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working with customers in the floral, agricultural, produce, or other perishable-product industries is highly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.

  • Ability to analyze customer needs, market conditions, pricing, and sales opportunities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience using CRM systems, sales-management platforms, or other customer/account reporting tools.

  • Fluent English required.

  • Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.

  • Must be based in or able to work from Miami, Florida under the company’s hybrid work arrangement.

  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States as required.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in the fresh-cut flower industry.

  • Existing relationships with floral wholesalers, importers, distributors, bouquet manufacturers, retailers, or other major floral buyers.

  • Experience selling roses or other fresh-cut flowers.

  • Knowledge of rose varieties, seasonal demand, floral market trends, and customer purchasing patterns.

  • Experience managing high-volume or strategic sales accounts.

  • Experience working with wholesale, retail, mass-market, or large-volume floral customers.

  • Understanding of international floral trade and import/export operations.

  • Experience working with products shipped internationally through U.S. ports, particularly Miami.

  • Knowledge of the North American floral market and its major customer segments.

About the Hiring Company and Opportunity

  • Base salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience.
