The selected candidate will become part of an experienced commercial team responsible for managing strategic customer relationships within the Mass Market channel. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen relationships with assigned Mass Market retail accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for key customers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each customer’s business objectives, merchandising strategies, and seasonal floral programs.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, expand product offerings, and grow existing accounts.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Operations, Logistics, Inventory, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs.
- Coordinate product availability, pricing, forecasts, promotions, and order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
- Lead regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and develop long-term growth strategies.
- Monitor sales performance, margins, and account profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and communicate anticipated demand to internal teams.
- Analyze market trends, seasonal demand, and competitive activity to recommend strategic initiatives.
- Support holiday planning and execution for key floral seasons, including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, and account activity using CRM and internal systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Account Management, National Accounts, Key Account Management, or Business Development.
- Previous experience managing high-volume retail or Mass Market customer accounts.
- Experience within the fresh-cut flower industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with large, multi-location customers.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pricing, margins, and customer profitability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English required.
- Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with floral importers, growers, wholesalers, or bouquet manufacturers.
- Knowledge of fresh-cut flower varieties, seasonality, quality standards, and supply chain operations.
- Experience supporting national retail floral programs.
- Familiarity with inventory planning, forecasting, and promotional planning.
- Existing relationships within the Mass Market floral industry are highly valued.
- Experience collaborating across Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams.
