A growing and established floral retail organization is seeking a highly creative and experienced Lead Creative Designer to join its team in Austin, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional who is passionate about floral artistry, leadership, and creating memorable customer experiences.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative leader with strong floral design expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and guide a design team while maintaining high-quality standards and innovative design concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the floral design team, ensuring creativity, quality, and consistency across all arrangements and projects.
- Design and execute floral arrangements for everyday orders, special occasions, holidays, weddings, and events.
- Develop innovative design concepts aligned with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Mentor, train, and support team members to enhance design quality and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership on merchandising, product presentation, and visual strategy.
- Assist with inventory planning and floral product selection to maximize freshness and profitability.
- Ensure efficient workflow and maintain high standards in production and customer satisfaction.
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives through creative floral presentations and visual storytelling.
- Maintain awareness of floral trends, color palettes, and market preferences.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in floral design, with leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong artistic ability and advanced floral design skills.
- Retail floral industry experience required.
- Experience leading teams and managing workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Passion for creativity, customer service, and innovation.
- Ability to work flexible schedules during holidays and peak floral seasons.
