About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional creative and operational leader to join our team as Head of Floral Production & Head Designer. This dual-function leadership role is central to the business — combining artistic direction with production oversight.

You will be responsible for defining the floral aesthetic while ensuring seamless execution across all events. This role requires both high-level creativity and strong operational discipline to manage multiple projects at scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction

  • Lead all floral design across weddings, corporate events, and large-scale installations, ensuring a cohesive and elevated aesthetic

  • Develop customized design concepts aligned with client vision, budget, and event scope

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align creative proposals with client expectations

  • Stay ahead of floral and event design trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team

Production Management

  • Oversee full-cycle floral production, including sourcing, procurement, design, installation, and breakdown

  • Manage relationships with growers, wholesalers, and suppliers to ensure quality, availability, and cost efficiency

  • Build and manage production schedules to support multiple concurrent events

  • Establish and enforce quality control standards across all stages of production

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and mentor floral designers and production staff

  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and high-performance team culture

  • Delegate effectively while remaining hands-on during peak production periods

Business Operations

  • Partner with leadership and sales teams on pricing strategy, budgeting, and profitability

  • Monitor inventory levels, reduce waste, and optimize use of perishable materials

  • Support marketing initiatives, including portfolio development, photography, and social media content

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional floral design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role

  • Strong portfolio showcasing weddings, corporate events, and large-scale installations

  • Deep knowledge of floral varieties, seasonality, and conditioning techniques

  • Proven experience managing production timelines and logistics across multiple events

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build and develop teams

  • Proficiency in floral design tools and standard business software is a plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred
