Position Overview

Pollen Talent has been retained to conduct an executive search for an experienced Vice President of Sales on behalf of a respected floral industry organization.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead and expand sales operations across North America. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing sales teams, strengthening customer relationships, and executing long-term commercial strategies within the floral industry.

This opportunity is ideal for a proven sales executive with a passion for leadership, business development, customer relationships, and growing market share within the floral, horticulture, agriculture, produce, or perishables industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales organization.
  • Manage key customer relationships and negotiate major commercial agreements.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales objectives with company strategy.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and implement improvements to maximize results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, wholesalers, mass-market retailers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee forecasting, budgeting, territory planning, and sales reporting.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including senior management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and leading large sales teams.
  • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience within the floral, flower, produce, agriculture, horticulture, perishables, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout North America.
