Location: Colombia (Remote/On-site as applicable)
Employment Type: Full-time (Hired through an employment agency)
Salary: $12,000 USD annually (paid in Colombian Pesos) + statutory benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement activities within the floral industry, with a defined career path transitioning into an Assistant role. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in purchasing, supply chain, and operations within a fast-paced, perishable goods environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sourcing and purchasing of fresh-cut flowers from farms and suppliers
  • Assist in managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
  • Maintain communication with growers regarding product availability, pricing, and specifications
  • Track daily inventory needs, harvest schedules, and supply levels
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely shipment and proper handling of products
  • Assist in basic quality control processes to verify product standards
  • Provide administrative support to senior buyers, including data entry, reporting, and documentation
  • Support planning and execution for peak seasons such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
  • Maintain organized records of suppliers, orders, and transactions

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Business, International Trade, Agribusiness, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, administration, or supply chain (internships count)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and grow into a more administrative/support-focused role over time
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills in Spanish; basic English is a plus

  • Interest or exposure to the floral or agricultural industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and follow-through
